Many news media today are promoting a double standard in their news reports concerning certain ethical and moral issues confronting this nation. The gay rights movement and reports about abortion are good examples. The news media constantly report on slurs made by citizens against the gays, the gay rights movement and pro-choicers but fail miserably to report on the countless number of times that traditional Christians are slurred and blasphemed by some gay rights promoters and pro-choice advocates.

Some of the news media portray pro-choicers and pro-same-sex-marriage advocates in a positive way. Pro-lifers and pro-traditional marriage advocates are portrayed in a negative way. Some of the news commentators characterize traditionalists as being radicals. In fact, the opposite is true. The history of the world indicates that most civilizations advocated the norm concerning these important life issues for thousands of years.

There is a technical term in the study of sociology to explain our nation's rapidly developing radical ethical and moral standards. It's called "institutional deviation." In sociology, the term "deviation" describes actions or behaviors that violate social norms accepted as proper behavior for thousands of years such as formally prescribed rules like the ten commandments given to Moses by our Creator, God, Himself.

"Institutional deviation" occurs when an entire institution such as a political party or the government of a nation adopts a radical ideology which deviates from social norms accepted as valid for thousands of years. Our country is now engaged in various forms of "institutional deviation" and it is  forcing its citizens to adopt what mankind considered to be an immoral code of conduct for thousands of years. To equate gay marriage to heterosexual marriage is preposterous to most human beings and most institutions in the history of mankind.

This nation appears to be headed toward becoming a godless immoral secular state which many radical citizens consider a form of liberation. However, what is really happening is a form of verbal terrorism against religious groups. I hear on newscasts almost daily blasphemous remarks against the Catholic Church, Christianity, Jesus Christ, God and the Holy Bible because of their anti-abortion and pro-traditional marriage standards. This is a rebellion against God's teachings and admonitions found in the Old and New Testaments.

Anti-Christian biased news reports have to stop or we shall suffer the consequences. We should keep in mind the very important prophetic  Bible verse that applies to nations, its citizens and the news media: "Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain."

These prophetic words apply to the United States government, its citizens and the news media. We should be very concerned with the final outcome of our nation in it's brief history because of all of the blaspheming that is going on today over the airways in news reports by some government officials, judges, legislators, members of the executive branch and "talking heads" on TV and radio in the name of a false form of freedom of speech.
