The US Government under the Obama regime is planning to take steps to restrict the religious freedom of Christians, Muslims and Jews and their respective institutions by implementing the federal health care reform law which will subject these religions to the will of the state regarding certain aspects of abortion.

The following statement was issued by the NY State Catholic Conference concerning this new so-called reform law.
"The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has issued a rule requiring contraceptive and sterilization coverage in almost all private health plans nationwide. All FDA-approved contraceptives, even those which may cause early abortion, are listed among "preventive services for women" that all health plans will have to include, without co-pays." Thus, the mandate includes drugs that cause abortion before and after implantation!
Such actions by the government hinder freedom of religion and should be reversed. In the long run it puts us at the start of a slippery slope toward outright persecution of Christians, Muslims and Jews who are pro-life. Individuals and health insurance companies do not qualify at all for the exemptions. Plans offered by many religious institutions, colleges, universities, as well as hospitals and many charitable institutions that serve the general public would be ineligible under the terms spelled out in the HHS ruling.
In the last century, Nazi Germany, ordered the extermination of an entire ethnic religious community, the Jews, who were sent to gas chambers to die at the hands of government appointed executioners. Some citizens argue that death camps are already happening in the US on a massive scale within abortion clinics thoughout the land where over a million healthy babies are killed in horrible vivisection procedures -- tortured without any anesthetic to stop the pain in the tiny infants.

The NY State Catholic Conference issued the following statements: "Pregnancy is not a disease, and drugs and surgeries to prevent it are not basic health care that the government should require all Americans to purchase. Please remove sterilization and prescription contraceptives from the list of "preventive services" the federal government is mandating in private health plans. It is especially important to exclude any drug that may cause an early abortion, and to fully respect religious freedom as other federal laws do. The narrow religious exemption in HHS's new rule protects almost no one. I urge you to allow all organizations and individuals to offer, sponsor and obtain health coverage that does not violate their moral and religious convictions. "
Here is a personal message for President Obama from a pro-lifer who wishes to remain anonymous: "Stop encouraging black women to kill their babies via abortion. That's genocide. You are behaving the opposite of Abraham Lincoln who freed the blacks. You encourage abortion of black babies by supporting federal pro-abortion laws!
How come you are ignoring God's moral law - Thou shalt not kill? This law applies to the babies of black women who are pregnant. God does not discriminate! Also, you want to get rid of religious freedom for white and black workers in the medical professions with the above mentioned HHS rulings.

Nobody in their right mind would like to be hacked to pieces by an abortion doctor's scalpel? Think about these kinds of horrors taking place with your approval as chief executive of this nation. Reverse your decision to force medical personnel who are Christians, Muslims and Jews into providing abortions in their respective medical practices. Also, have a change of heart and get on the Lord's side by striving to save the lives of preborn infants rather than continue in your path to permit and thereby promote abortions as a way out of irresponsible behavior."
A New York doctor who read some of the comments I received beneath this article sent me the following email: "Many thanks for sending this thread. Eventually, you will discover that trying to explain the evil of abortion to liberal agnostics is akin to explaining to a dog that distemper is bad for you. They do not understand nor believe. Preborn humans, to the pro-choice crowd, are just tissue. The feminist view of freedom of choice is to choose whether or not to kill your preborn baby. It is absurd that JVSimp (see JVSimp's comments beneath this article) suggested that women burnt at the stake hundreds of years ago by "Christians" has any relationship to the hundreds of thousands of babies who are aborted and dumped into a bucket! According to JVSimp, murdering babies is not a moral, but a civil issue. I doubt that you will ever convince JVSimp or others like him that abortion is legalized murder. IMHO America is in a moral, cultural and economic decline. As was the situation for ancient Rome, the barbarians are going to take us down."
The American government is going too far with the HHS rulings aimed at curtailing working citizens right to religious freedom. The government is ordering us to think and act in ways that are incompatible with our faith. I might add in ways incompatible with our Creator. God is the ultimate reality and when men lose touch with the ultimate reality they act irrationally which is the direction our government appears to be heading with the new HHS ruling."
